In this tutorial, we show you how to install a cable-operated dropper post. We rate this as a 2/5 wrench task, making it accessible to beginners. We installed a Crankbrothers Highline seatpost on a Canyon Spectral. This tutorial works for almost all cable-operated seatposts, which means almost every model available except the famous RockShox Reverb, which has a hydraulic pull. The only difference you might encounter is the cable attachment. Some seatposts are reversed, and the attachment is located under the seatpost and not at the shift lever.
