The VW scene was at its peak then, and many were caught up in the seemingly endless customizability and accessibility that Golfs, GTIs, Jettas, and Passats offered. Vin Antara, formerly of Hoonigan fame, is one whose dream revolved around the Mk2 GTI. It wasn't long after he found his one-owner, all original Mk2 in California, that it was shipped back to his family's home on the East Coast with the plan to revive and upgrade the old Golf. Stuffing a VR6, the drivetrain, and suspension from a later Corrado into a GTI is a big task, and it helps to be surrounded by people who know them well and the parts to make the swap happen; and that's where FCP Euro comes in.
