I Fixed My Star Fox Problem

I knew it was beloved, I knew it was impressive for the Nintendo 64, and on paper it should have been exactly my kind of game. I love arcade shooters, light gun shooters, score chasing, secret routes, and games built around replaying them until they finally click. But every time I played Star Fox 64, whether growing up or later on the 3DS, I bounced off it. So with Star Fox coming back, I decided to give the original another proper chance and see if I could finally understand what everyone else saw in it.
