Actually, Minimum charges is minimum amount or unit for an electricity connection which is to be billed if the actual bill amount is less than MMC. Minimum charges depend on the load and category of the connection. It is not applicable in all category or tariff. For example, in UPPCL there are no minimum charges for domestic connection that is LMV-1. But there are minimum charges in commercial connection, LMV-2 category.
