In loving Memory of Josephat Ikuvi Mutua 1968 - 22/11/2024

BIRTH AND EARLY LIFE The late Josephat Ikuvi Mutua was born in Mung’ala sub-location,Mumbuni North ward, Machakos County in 1968. He was the fifth born child of the late Mutua Ikuvi and Sarah Mutua. He was husband to Mary Nzisa and Diana Ngina. He was Father to Rose katunge, Nelson Mutua,Purity Mbithe, Charity Mueni and Jackson Munyao. He was inlaw to Sharon Muyesi. He was brother to Josephine Syombua, Beth Kasyoka, Rose Syokau, Margaret Mwikali, the late Douglas Nzomo, Stephen Mbithi and Janet Kiloko .He was step brother to Serah Munyao, late Pauline Muthike, Martha Mutune, Joyce Mbinya and Francis Muteti. He was uncle to Annalisa, Jackie tall, Jacinta, Eliza, Serah, Pope, Mwania among others. He was cousin to Elijah Nyamu, Hon. Bernard Mung’ata, Kimanza among others. He was son in-law to the late Jones Mutua and the late Elizabeth Mutua. EDUCATION AND CAREER EDUCATION The late Josephat Ikuvi Mutua attended Mung’ala Primary School from 1974-1981. He then proceeded to Kyanguli Secondary School from 1982-1985. He then proceeded for his Form 5 and 6 in St. Mary’s Kitale. CAREER He was recruited in the Kenya Police Service in March 1989 to December the same year in Kiganjo. He was then posted to Liboi police station in kiganjo. He then worked in various police stations which include: Tigania, Kibwezi, Sultan, Mpeketoni, Busia, Kasarani then finally Soweto(Kayole) till his demise where he was a Sergeant. FAMILY LIFE The late Josephat Ikuvi Mutua met his beloved Mary Nzisa in the year 1990. They were blessed with two children Rose Katunge Ikuvi and Nelson Mutua Ikuvi. He later married Diana Ngina in January 2007. They were blessed with three children Purity Mbithe, Charity Mueni and Jackson Munyao. He was brother in law to the late Florence, Syokau, the late George, Mwengi, Kakonzi, Kamene, NZIVO, Musumbi, Late Muasya, Nthenya, Mbatha, Mutinda, Matata, Anna, Susan, Shadrack, Janet, Dickson, Steven, Ziporah, Bonface, Anthony. He was a grandfather to Pearl Zawadi. CHRISTIAN LIFE The late Josephat Ikuvi Mutua was baptised at A.I.C Kasinga which he attended and was also a Sunday school teacher. ILLNESS Josephat suffered from a short illness where he left us during his line of duty at age of 56 years. He has left behind two wives, five children and one grand daughter.
