Presidente Lula e governador Jerônimo inauguram Hospital Estadual do Litoral Norte em Alagoinhas

July 1, 2026 — President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and the Governor of Bahia, Jerônimo Rodrigues, inaugurated the North Coast State Hospital in Alagoinhas, the first hospital unit delivered in the country under the New PAC Health program. With an investment of R$ 214.3 million, the facility has 213 beds, including 30 ICU beds, oncology, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, bioimaging, and specialized care services for an estimated population of nearly 800,000 people from 34 municipalities in Bahia, strengthening the regionalization of public health in the interior of Bahia.
