More and more autogas, LPG, and GPL filling stations in Europe, especially in Germany, are prohibiting the direct refueling of liquid gas or camping gas cylinders. In our motorhome, a steel gas cylinder has expired and can no longer be used. This prompted me to install an external LPG refueling connection on the motorhome. Back in 2019, I purchased a plastic gas cylinder with a multi-valve and an 80% fill stop. I know how these cylinders work. They are also significantly lighter than steel gas cylinders. These lighter gas cylinders have a lifespan of 10 years, after which they must be inspected by TÜV (Technical Inspection Association) or replaced. In this video, I demonstrate the installation of an aluminum gas cylinder with the necessary components to ensure safe external LPG refueling. After the installation, I test my work and show the costs. Always remember that working with gas can be dangerous. If you're unsure, consult a professional.
