June 29th was the last day the physical travel card could be used in Denmark. For more than a decade, millions of Danes have checked in and out on the travel card. More and more travelers are now using their mobile phones for tickets and checking in on the digital travel card, and the classic blue glowing travel card stands are now history, just like the old clip-on travel card machines.
