FRAME LARGE ARTWORK | Make this EASY & Affordable DIY Wood Float Frame for a Canvas Have an amazing large-scale canvas that’s looking a little bare on the wall? In this video, I make an extra-large float frame to add sophistication to canvas wall art. I use 1x2 pine to create a large float frame with mitered butt joints (if you don’t have a miter saw, you could use basic butt joinery). I condition, frame, and seal the wood frame before attaching it to the canvas using brass mending plates.
