Système masse-ressort: oscillateur harmonique non-amorti et vertical 18/26
Within the framework of classical mechanics of a point mass and rigid body, as taught in the Physics I course at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL), we propose to address a mass-spring system problem: a harmonic oscillator moving vertically without friction. We will see, in particular, how to correctly position the Cartesian coordinate system to express the spring's restoring force accurately, and how to make an appropriate change of variables to handle the constants of the spring's weight and unstretched length. This video is part of a series of videos produced for the Uniknow mobile app, which will help you review the theoretical content of your first university physics course while practicing your knowledge through multiple-choice questions (MCQs). It will be available on the App Store and Google Play starting September 18, 2018. The video was produced and published by Mr. Soheyl Massoudi.
