🌱 Is life in Binh Thuan really different from the Mekong Delta? During this trip, I had the opportunity to chat with a farmer in Binh Thuan. Through his very honest sharing, I realized that life here has many similarities to the people of the Mekong Delta: gentle, simple, hardworking, and deeply committed to farming. Currently, agricultural workers in the area earn around 300,000 – 400,000 VND/day (depending on the work and time of year). Some families have achieved stable lives and built spacious houses thanks to growing dragon fruit, corn, cassava, etc. Regarding pepper cultivation, many households said that in recent years, growing pepper is no longer as profitable as before. Fluctuating prices, high investment costs, and damage to many pepper gardens have caused many people to suffer losses. Therefore, many farmers have had to switch to more suitable crops.
