Clerical Error Morris Dancers and Street Entertainers - Y 'Clerigwyr' dance "Wrekin Havoc" at Vale of Evesham National Morris Weekend We are ‘Clerical Error’ from North Wales! Border Morris dancers with attitude! We first danced our traditional stick dances in 1991, wearing then, as we do now, our distinctive black kit, our top hats decorated with daffodils and ribbons of green, red and gold and our gaiters with bells. We can’t go anywhere quietly! As well as our traditional dances we dance new dances and are also street entertainers, performing both traditional Mummers’ plays and our own new plays and tricks. Our fine team, with its excellent dancers and band of super talented musicians, is joined by Idris the dragon, a lean, mean modern beast. This developed very rapidly into a multi side National festival of Morris held in the Riverside Market Town of Evesham- the gateway to the Cotswolds. Here your side can take part in tours, including Pershore and the Vale villages, the Cotswolds, our own National Trust gem The Fleece Inn, and massed dancing at key venues in and around the Historic market town of Evesham.
