The modern day Zionist dream: Israeli OLIM share their ALIYAH stories
Receiving Jewish immigrants is one of the founding pillars of Israel, with tens of thousands making the country their new home every year. Each one of them has their own reason for making Aliyah and a unique story to go with it, but at the heart, they are searching for a sense of belonging. In honor of Israel's 75th Independence Day, Ellie Hochenberg speaks with some recent olim about their Aliyah journeys: former professional basketball player Aulcie Perry; Yonatan Langer, once a neo-Nazi who converted to Judaism; and Diana Buchman, a refugee of the war in Ukraine.
