Day 1 – Pokhara to Ghandruk | Annapurna Base Camp Trek 🇳🇵 Day 1 of my Annapurna Base Camp Trek begins from the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara and takes me to the peaceful mountain village of Ghandruk (2000m) 🏔️ What looks like a “simple start” is actually one of the most important days of the trek — acclimatization, slowing down, and preparing mentally for what’s coming next. The journey started with a bumpy off-road drive, winding through mountains, rivers, and remote landscapes… and ended in a village that feels like it’s frozen in time. Village Ghandruk is beautiful and gives you that slow life experience. From exploring the charming stone houses of Ghandruk to sipping coffee in a cozy hidden café with Himalayan views ☕, Day 1 was all about soaking in the calm before the real challenge begins.
