Vyacheslav Gladkov has been officially appointed as the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Abkhazia. The corresponding decree was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Our correspondents and residents of the republic were able to personally speak with the diplomat before his official inauguration. The meeting took place during a tourist gathering at the "Our Vector" camp, where Vyacheslav Gladkov attended as a guest along with the Governor of the Smolensk Region. Although the official document had not yet been published, his impending appointment was already known in Abkhazia. The Abkhaz delegation invited the guests to their campfire, where this informal conversation took place. Smolensk Region Governor Vasily Anokhin and Deputy Prime Minister of Abkhazia Tarash Khagba also participated in the dialogue. Renowned journalists Marianna Kotova and Semyon Pegov also participated and moderated the impromptu conversation.
