Tommy Dorsey with Frank Sinatra & the Pied Pipers
During the height of the “Big Band Era” Tommy Dorsey and his Orchestra were consistently on the top of charts and extremely popular on the radio and in person. Dorsey had the ability to blend exciting swing instrumentals with lush ballads. From 1940 to 1942 the band featured Frank Sinatra and the Pied Pipers on a string of top 10 records. In this program we feature the Dorsey Band with Sinatra, Jo Stafford and the Pied Pipers. Hope you enjoy.
