Torchon Lace insertion 5 - 3 variations on the finish Diagonal finish - work to your chosen length then at the end of the completed last row, tie reef knots in all pairs (except the footside passives - not necessary with this sample) and cut off, leaving a tail of threads. You can also cut the footside passives really short if you prefer or you can leave them longer to match the tail. Straight End finish - rule a line or add your cover cloth across the straight row of pins you want to finish on. Once you get to the line in your diagonal row of ground, stop and start the next row - you will be making several short rows. There will be 2 pairs at each pin to tie off with a reef knot (except the footside passives as above). Cut your bobbins off at the length you prefer. Pointed finish - rule a diagonal line from both left and right and where they intersect is your finishing point.
