Statement by President Jammeh on the State Opening of the National Assembly 2013 Legislative Session

The Gambian leader has said that the timely attainment of Vision 2020 objectives will continue to be the main focus of his government intervention in the years to come. He said the government will also maintain and encourage fiscal prudence that would place the country on a sustainable trajectory towards inclusive growth. Speaking Thursday 28th March, during a three-hour speech, that kick-starts the sessions of the legislative body for the year 2013, the Gambian leader highlighted the main achievements of his government over the past years. He went on to present in a 32 page document development programmes and policies outlined for his government in the year 2013.
