Datsun 1200 CA18 turbo

Grass Roots Garage caught up with Ashley & his Black Datsun 1200 at the oznats event in Sydney. His black tubbed out little Datsun 1200 sedan held its own against a majority of big v8s. The Car is running a Fully built Nissan Ca18 with a spool stroker kit and cp pistons, courtesy of feneck race engines. It has msd ignition, Ems ecu and the turbo is a Garrett Gtx3582, after the tuning was completed by LS auto works on 27psi it makes 400hp and doesn't he love it!! A fully manualised jatco 3 speed auto and 32 spline spooled vl diff handle the punishment well. He still hasn't hit the drag strip yet but we pretty sure it will do some impressive numbers his future plans include a new computer and upping the boost to 35psi. He also mentioned maybe a cheeky shot of nitros too. Can't wait to see it!
