LabRATS 2025-2026

Theatre Lab's LabRATS (Rising Artists Theatre Society) is an educational outreach and mentorship program for upper-level high school students. It allows students to work directly with industry professionals as they prepare for a career in theatre. The program offers a comprehensive look into the professional theatre world, featuring: Original Playwriting: Students in grades 10-12 are paired with a resident playwright to conceptualize, draft, and refine an original script. Professional Mentorship: Participants work alongside professional playwrights, actors, and directors to refine their work and prepare it for the stage. Industry Connections: Students get an inside look at the industry by attending exclusive sessions with the creative team of Theatre Lab’s mainstage productions. Public Readings: The students' original plays are showcased during the Owl New Play Festival, allowing them to see their new works performed in front of a live audience.
