Enter the pages of a talking book and embark on an adventure full of mysteries to discover in Yoshi and the Mysterious Book, a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive. Who knows what kind of unique creatures you'll encounter? An unusual book: One day, while Bowser Jr. is exploring the castle, he finds a mysterious book with an extraordinary bird on its pages. Fascinated by the image, he sets out to find the real-life version of the bird! For no apparent reason, the book in question (titled "Professor Leo") suddenly falls from the sky onto the island where the Yoshis live. Its pages are filled with creatures waiting to be discovered, so it invites the Yoshis to dive right in to learn more about them. Most Unique Creatures: Within the pages of Professor Leo, you can learn all sorts of things about dozens of specimens, both enormous and tiny. Some grow food that Yoshi can eat, others create bubbles he can float in, and still others gurgle when he jumps on them! Each discovery leads to new ways to explore, and even more to learn! When you encounter a creature for the first time and examine it, you'll need to name it. You can take Professor Leo's suggestion or come up with something completely new—it's up to you! And if you get stuck at any point, use the runes you find scattered throughout each area to get clues that will help you move forward. If you use a compatible amiibo (sold separately), you can even get extra runes every day. Awesome Actions: When Yoshi examines creatures, he can interact with them in a thousand ways, such as jumping on them, carrying them on his back, or even swallowing them to see what they taste like. Take advantage of Yoshi's abilities to discover all sorts of things about the species in the book and how they relate to their surroundings. Jumping and Jumping: Yoshi can jump to make it easier to move forward, and also to enjoy all sorts of effects and reactions when bouncing on different creatures! Opening His Mouth: Yoshi can use his tongue to taste certain specimens or to gobble up fruit if he fancies a snack. On a Ride: Many creatures can hop on Yoshi's back, and he'll take advantage of his companions' abilities to continue making discoveries. Time to Smash: By performing a Ground Pound from mid-air, Yoshi can knock down certain objects or slam some creatures to the ground. Egg-Laying: Yoshi can lay an egg after eating certain creatures, and when he throws it, it will reveal new discoveries or trigger different reactions in the creatures around him. Chapter by Chapter: Each chapter of Professor Leo offers new and fascinating places for Yoshi to explore. From forested areas to windswept peaks, sunny riverside landscapes to jungles teeming with bugs, each and every area features unique habitats for Yoshi's research subjects.
