Honestly, back then, I thought it would be much simpler. A couple of books. A couple of courses. A few months of practice. And then all that's left to do is make money. In practice, everything turned out completely differently. Over the years, I've spent hundreds of hours staring at charts, a simulator, mistakes, stops, searching for a working system, and a huge number of things I wouldn't repeat today. So, in this video, I don't want to talk about strategies or signals. I want to talk about what my trading journey actually turned out to be and what I've learned along the way. 1. How did it all begin? From investing in 2021. This wasn't trading, but rather what they lure you into. TV, Twitter, every iron will scream at the peak of the bull market – buy and hold. Without serious preparation in the hopes of making a buck, nothing will come of it except random success. It was, like many others – crypto. Like, subscribe, comment, and continue reading. Also here, a photo, a greeting, and a final note. 2. Then another pain – averaging down, because I was caught in a bear market. I'll say right away – averaging down is useless, because it's quite easy to model in Excel. I no longer have a portfolio; I sold everything after October 2025, when I was convinced that another bear market had arrived, and I was right – the analysis was accurate. 5 years of investing. Where are these clowns with buy and hold?). 3. The turning point was April-May 2022, or the moon crash. It suggested that this was what I was looking for. I remember accidentally making $50, $70, and more. It's cool, but how can I make it permanent? It all ended with another investment, which I was able to sell at the same time, after October 2025. 4. Around the same time, I started looking for a way to study this: the Keltner Channel – I really liked it, it looked very predictable. My charts looked beautiful; I'll show you now – a chart with a ton of indicators. 5. Over time, unnecessary indicators were discarded, and trading strategies based on moving averages and VWAP began to make sense. Moving average crossovers are a favorite on Wall Street; I even compiled statistics based on them… and most likely, it would have worked, but stops – they were still there and were very demotivating. 6. In the summer of 2023, a professor came to my old channel. At first, I didn't pay attention, as there were plenty of loudmouths, but they lacked a systematic approach. As we talked, some details emerged, but it was extremely difficult to understand him due to his professional deformation (I've now become infected with it myself). Everything seemed simple, but changing the perspective so quickly is impossible. Especially since at that point, I had found some good paid indicators that showed something and even traded something, and then some idiot came along and tried to refute the whole thing. 7. The professor had a habit of deleting everything he wrote, but some things remained in our Telegram group. After our rather unsatisfactory parting, I partially immersed myself in the list of tutors he left behind (you can now see this list as pinned, after some modifications, as I tried many strategies, and some have already been tried and tested and are no longer relevant). 8. My colleague Anastasia was and is, with whom we discussed this entire strategy and shared some of our findings. She learned it faster because she wasn't distracted by checking with other tutors, but instead tried to find an explanation for the professor's charades. Overall, it was largely thanks to her that I was able to formulate the head and tail zones, the trend, and so on. 9. In July 2024, I practically quit YouTube, as it was too distracting from studying, and I immersed myself entirely in indicator-free charting to understand price movements. Neil Fuller, ICT, and Rait Trade were among them; in short, they are all listed in the training recommendations by importance and priority. Except perhaps Neil Fuller, since moving averages aren't needed, and he combined them with price action patterns.
