Making a Fire Fighting Trailer - Forme Industrious

We live in the "Australian Bush" on Acerage, which in the dry season large parts of the country are dry and very prone to fires. When you have a property in these areas it is wise to be ready for when the bush fires occur. Sadly, people loose their lives and property when the fires get out of hand. Whilst we keep our grasses down around buildings etc we decided that we ought to have a fire fighting trailer with a 1000L IBC and water pump that can be moved around to help fire fighting as necessary. It may be of great use to us or our neighbours. The Frame is made from 100mm x 50mm x 3mm Galvanised steel. The axle is 50mmx50mmx 5mm using 39mm Stub axles. Wheels and tyres are rated to 850kg each and I estimate that the GTM of the Trailer is around 1200kg. I found a de-commissioned Fire Hose Reel and I used my Fire Fighter petrol water pump. I will make some improvements to the the trailer as time permits but it is ready to use as it is. Cheap insurance! Thank you for watching! Regards Scott
