In this video, my dear friend Hakan Ünal and I tell the story of a very special fountain pen, the likes of which can only be found in a museum. The fountain pen in question is the Parker Vacumatic Golden Web. This rare piece was first released in 1936 and designed in the Art Deco style, one of the art movements of the time. As if this magnificent, vibrant, almost three-dimensional celluloid pen wasn't special enough, it was also brought to our country to be distributed to the bureaucrats of the then-young Republic of Turkey. When such a special fountain pen is brought to our country for such a noble purpose, it is naturally up to us fountain pen enthusiasts to tell its story.
