The Furious: Is Kung Fu Cinema Back? | Bill Kong & Kenji Tanigaki | So Be It Ep 8

In this episode of So Be It, I sat down with two people I've known for decades: producer Bill Kong and director Kenji Tanigaki, to talk about their new film The Furious, in theatres worldwide June 12th. Bill Kong produced Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero, and Fearless. Kenji Tanigaki, who started his career with Fist of Legend and was the action director of Sakra and the Rurouni Kenshin series. Together they made something I think represents a new era for Kung Fu cinema. We're calling it "Extreme Kung Fu." In this conversation we discuss why they made this film, how Kenji designed the fight sequences, what makes The Furious different from anything that's come before, and what the future of martial arts cinema looks like. Stay tuned for our next episode: an exclusive conversation with The Furious star Xie Miao, in Chinese. ►Watch The Furious trailer:    • The Furious (2026) Official Trailer - Xie ...   [New Book] Beyond Life and Death: The Way of True Freedom. ►Learn more and order your copy now: https://www.jetli.com/book ►Subscribe to Jet Li on YouTube: https://bit.ly/SubscribetoJetLi ►Follow Kenji Tanigaki: Instagram:   / kenjitanigaki   ►Follow Jet Li: TikTok:   / jetli   Instagram:  / jetli   Facebook:  / jetli   Twitter:https://x.com/jetli_official 微博:https://weibo.com/u/1270468784 小红书: https://xhslink.com/m/9kavhjxHPRr ►Follow Jada Li: Instagram:   / _jadali_   TikTok:   / jadali16   #jetli #李连杰 #billkong #kenjitanigaki #thefurious #sobeit
