-----STATION INFO----- El Puerto de Santa María, also known as Puerto De Santa María, is a railway station located in the Spanish city of El Puerto de Santa María, in the province of Cádiz. It is located outside the historic center, near the Guadalete River. It offers long-distance and medium-distance services. It is also part of the C-1 line of Cercanías Cádiz. It is located at kilometer 124.4 of the Alcázar De San Juan - Cádiz Iberian gauge railway line. The mileage is calculated from the city of Seville, as this route is linked to the Seville - Cádiz line, which was later integrated by Adif into the aforementioned Alcázar De San Juan - Cádiz line. The section is double track and electrified. Two branches diverged from this line, one towards Trocadero and the other towards Sanlúcar de Barrameda, which originated at the station and have now disappeared. The old station was adjacent to the current one, where today there is a tunnel leading to the Salinas de San José salt flats. It is one of the oldest in Andalusia, as it was part of the first railway line to be inaugurated in this region.
