In this video, you’ll get a complete beginner-friendly walkthrough of Autodesk Fusion, starting with an overview of the interface, preferences, themes, and project organization before creating your first design file. You’ll learn how to navigate the canvas, browser, timeline, and view cube; work confidently with metric and imperial units; and build a simple part using both primitives and sketches. The lesson introduces construction planes, proper terminology, zooming and navigation best practices, toolbar customization, and essential habits like saving often. You’ll then recreate the same part using sketch-based modeling and explore the fundamentals of parametric design by editing sketches upstream to automatically update downstream features.
