DH45 - SDSR Train to Stanthorpe and Ballandean - 1/03/2025

On Saturday 1st March 2025, the Southern Downs Steam Railway ran their Downs Explorer train to Stanthorpe on the Granite Belt. A return trip to the current terminus of the line at Ballandean was also conducted where passengers were allowed to disembark and walk across the the Ballandean Pub located just next to the line. Diesel Hydraulic Locomotive DH45 was used as their steam locomotive is not yet ready for service.
