Magic!

The fifth in a series of videos discussing my upcoming RPG, "The Broken Empires", launching on Kickstarter October 1st. Today, I talk about the Tapestry of Reality, and those that pluck at its threads - the Spellweavers and Godbound of the magic system! **ADDED: Regarding "Fraying" being hidden from spellweaver players, I think that actually they should be aware of the running total. With Piety, what is at risk is whether the miracle will work or not; with Fraying, what is at risk is the *very existence of the character*. It would be terribly unfun for a player to have that kind of "death" take them completely by surprise. There is a dice roll that is made for Fraying, so it's not automatic, but they would see how close to oblivion they are every time they make that terrible choice to cast another spell. A ticking clock is much more effective if the second hands can be seen moving towards the inevitable...
