Famous for its world-class beaches, crystal-clear turquoise water, incredible snorkeling, and laid-back Caribbean atmosphere, Culebra is one of the most popular island destinations in Puerto Rico and is often considered home to some of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Our adventure begins at the world-famous Flamenco Beach, consistently ranked among the best beaches in the world. With powdery white sand, calm turquoise water, swaying palm trees, pelicans soaring overhead, and the island’s iconic military tanks sitting right on the beach, it’s easy to see why travelers from around the world visit Culebra just to experience Flamenco Beach. While exploring Flamenco Beach, we also grab lunch from the beach kiosks before hopping into our golf cart rental and continuing our journey around the island. Next, we visit Tamarindo Beach, a quieter and more secluded beach known for its excellent snorkeling, sea turtles, coral reefs, and natural beauty. Unlike the busy atmosphere of Flamenco Beach, Tamarindo offers a much more peaceful side of Culebra. We also spend time exploring the town of Culebra, discovering local businesses, enjoying a drink at La Cocina del Navegante, and sharing what daily life feels like on this small Puerto Rican island. During our stay, we tour our affordable Airbnb and show what kind of accommodations you can expect if you’re planning a trip to Culebra on a budget. Later, we head across the island to beautiful Zoni Beach, another one of Culebra’s most scenic beaches.
