When you are in EMT school, you will learn some basics mnemonics like: SAMPLE, OPQRST, and AEIOU TIPS. These mnemonics I cover in this video ensure that you are covering all your bases when treating EMS patients. I want to give a shoutout to one of my educational mentors, John Bielinski Jr, PA-C who was the origin of some of these mnemonics I present here. These EMS mnemonics like AAC, PAPPA, HORID, RR OWL, give you a way to fully evaluate your emergency patient quickly and efficiently. Using some of these mnemonics when I was a new paramedic helped me tremendously in ride time and when I was precepting under senior medics.
