"The Mark of the Beast" | Classic horror | Werewolf story
Following a night of drunken excess, an Englishman in India desecrates a temple, angering a leper priest. Soon after, he begins behaving very oddly. Has he succumbed to a disease or is there something more mysterious at work? Strickland of the police determines to find out. This original recording is an audio presentation (with sound effects and music) by Jasper L'Estrange for EnCrypted Horror. “The Mark of the Beast” by Rudyard Kipling (1890). You can hear me discuss this story by becoming a channel member and listening to a future episode of The EnCrypted Postmortem. (Honest! Next one recorded and out very soon! I promise!) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list.... CREATOR’S NOTE: My recordings contain a mixture of audio narration, sound effects, and music because that’s what I enjoy making and what I personally like to listen to. I also try and do accents and different voices to differentiate between the characters as I think it makes for a more enjoyable listen. Lots of my listeners and subscribers agree. If you don’t, consider yourself lucky to be on a website that has hundreds and thousands of other storytellers to listen to. I choose stories based on my extensive reading of vintage horror, ghost, and weird stories, and based on my personal taste. If you don’t like this one, you might like the next one. 💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀 If you like, you can donate in the following ways: Patreon: / encryptedpod YouTube channel membership: / encryptedclassichorror One-off donation: https://ko-fi.com/encryptedpodcast You can now also say THANKS (on YouTube) with a SUPER THANKS!
