Le Québec, les Juifs et Pierre Anctil (Autour d'une oeuvre)

Born in Montreal in 1952, Pierre Anctil has dedicated 40 years of his life to the study of Quebec Jews, the history of Montreal, and French-Canadian newspapers. In this 90-minute documentary, the professor emeritus at the University of Ottawa revisits, one book at a time, the stages of his career since the 1970s. Anthropology, history, and Yiddish translation have allowed him to develop an intimate and original understanding of Quebec through the lens of the relationship between Quebecers and Jews in the 20th century.
