In total, the competition was a success. Three new personal records broken on the day. Squats went well. Opened with a solid 205 kg, moved to 217.5 kg, then hit 230 kg for a new PR on the third attempt. Bench was the dent in the performance, as usual. First lift with 130 kg was good, although I was positioned a bit badly and the barbell hit the post. Second at 137.5 kg was also a good lift but fairly heavy. I thought I could finally chase a new PR and jumped to 142.5 kg. It wasn't my bench day again. Deadlifts were good from the start. Opened with 255 kg, which I could lift while sleeping, moved to 272.5 kg, and finished with 285 kg for a new PR. That also brought a new total PR of 652.5 kg. Bench will have its day.
