Mikhail Baryshnikov in Conversation with Ian Brown
Mikhail Baryshnikov is considered one of the greatest dancers in history. Born to Russian parents in Latvia, Baryshnikov danced as a guest artist with the National Ballet of Canada, before joining New York City Ballet and later American Ballet Theatre. His success as an actor on stage, cinema, and television has helped him become the most widely recognized contemporary dancer in the world. This evening showcases the work of choreographer and Banff Centre alumna Aszure Barton, followed by a conversation between Mikhail Baryshnikov and Banff Globe Canada correspondent, Ian Brown.
