Taking the train from Dar Es Salaam to Arusha was a dream come true. I love road travel be it on rails or by road in buses. There something about being in transit with total strangers and perhaps leaving that journey with enriched with stories and new acquaintances. The train ride takes on a regular basis 12 hours and 30 minutes, it departs Dar Es Salaam at 14:30.
