SILVER RAY - Die Ems-Überführung von Papenburg zur Nordsee am 21.04.2024

Der Neubau SILVER RAY für Silversea Cruises wurde am 21. April 2024 von der Meyerwerft Papenburg nach Eemshaven zur Nordsee überführt. Das Schiff ist 55.000 BRZ groß, 244m lang und knapp 30m breit. Es ist ein eher kleines Schiff im Vergleich zu den sonstigen Neubauten bei der Meyerwerft. Das Schiff nutzt LNG als Hauptbrennstoff. Im Hafen soll durch den Einsatz von Brennstoffzellen und Batterien ein emissionsfreier Betrieb möglich sein. Die Reederei bietet Luxus-Kreuzfahrten an, bis zu 728 Passagieren können auf der SILVER RAY mitfahren.   The new building SILVER RAY for Silversea Cruises was transferred from the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg to Eemshaven in the North Sea on April 21, 2024. The ship is 55,000 GT, 244m long and almost 30m wide. It is a rather small ship compared to the other new buildings at the shipyard. The ship uses LNG as its main fuel. Emission-free operation should be possible in the port by fuel cells and batteries. The shipping company offers luxury cruises; up to 728 passengers can travel on the SILVER RAY.
