Korg SV-1 - ARTIST'S STORY: ANDREA BERTORELLI (Mario Biondi Band)

Andrea "Satomi" Bertorelli demonstrates the Korg SV-1 Stage Vintage Piano, the main instrument in his setup for Mario Biondi's Spazio Tempo Tour 2010. The Korg SV-1 features a wide range of sounds, including two Stereo Concert Grand Pianos, modern pianos, vintage electric pianos, strings, organs, and more, for a total of 36 sounds. Each of these sounds can be customized and saved to eight FAVORITES memories. The SV-1's sounds utilize Korg's Real eXperience technology. While existing sampling techniques resemble audio snapshots, Real eXperience is more like a hologram, accurately reproducing every dimensional detail of the sound. The grand piano, electric piano, and clavinets are all sampled at different dynamic levels and with the natural sound of the release to preserve the natural sound image. On the grand piano, the SV-1 uses the sound of the key being released and the hammer returning, as well as the damper resonance of the strings, to create all the subtle nuances that create an excellent instrument sound. This technique also applies to all other sounds. For example, electric pianos, clavinets, and organs are reproduced for the first time with complete realism, not artificial or lacking in realism. These sounds react to your fingertips just like real instruments. The instrument incorporates six independent, high-quality effect categories, including PreFX, a stompbox simulator that recreates the sound of a pedal effect inserted before the amplifier input. The six categories, each with different effect types, are: EQ, PreFX, AMP Modeling, Modulation FX, Reverb/Delay, and Limiter. For info on Korg SV-1: http://www.ekomusicgroup.com/viewdoc....
