Dji Neo - Cairngorm Skiing 12th Dec 2024

Can the Dji Neo mini drone follow you skiing downhill, that is the question? Well this is some autonomous Dji Neo drone footage taken when backcountry skiing in the Cairngorm mountains in the Scottish Highlands. From my experience testing the Dji Neo on a windless winters day, the mini drone will happily follow a skier downhill as long as the skier doesn’t ski too fast or make big change in direction. I had a fun early season backcountry skiing day testing the Dji Neo in autonomous modes such as follow and direction track and was more than happy with the results which were better than expected as long as I took my time to make sure the drone was following and allowed time for it to catch up if it started to lag behind.
