Plastic Death 是由 Conor Rowlan 於 2025 年夏天創立的全新個人電子音樂計畫，作為其音樂創作與藝術實踐的進一步延伸與發展。 延續過去的音樂計畫，包括 Youthblood（2010–2013）、RADIDAS（2015–2021）以及 Faint Rings（2021–2025），Plastic Death 象徵著他邁向全新創作方向的重要一步。 Plastic Death 將 Shoegaze 與 Indie Dance 現場演出的粗獷能量，融合當代地下俱樂部音樂、Breakbeat 與 Techno 元素，透過大量取樣（Sampling）與循環（Looping）技術，打造出獨樹一格的聲音風格。 此計畫致力於在現場樂器演奏與電子音樂製作之間取得平衡，結合現場吉他演奏與循環、人聲取樣、合成器、鼓機及取樣器等設備，透過對聲音素材的切割、扭曲、拆解與重組，將片段逐步建構成完整且富有張力的作品。 Plastic Death 的音樂靈感來自廣泛而多元的藝術家，包括 Battles、Client_03、The Dare、Friendly Fires、Giant Swan、Machine Girl、Machinedrum、My Bloody Valentine、The Prodigy、PVA、Scaler、Villager 與 The Whip 等。 在發行方面，Plastic Death 正籌備首張作品，預計於 2026 年初推出。其作品 〈Lemonade〉 也將收錄於柏林廠牌 Wex Records 即將發行的黑膠合輯之中。 Plastic Death is a brand-new solo electronic music project by Conor Rowlan, launched in the summer of 2025 as an expansion of his musical identity as a producer and artist. Building on his previous projects—including Youthblood (2010–2013), RADIDAS (2015–2021), and Faint Rings (2021–2025)—Plastic Death marks a bold step into a new creative direction. Combining the raw, live energy of shoegaze and indie dance with contemporary underground club music, breakbeats, and techno influences, Plastic Death creates a distinctive sonic fusion centered around extensive sampling and looping techniques. The project seeks to strike a unique balance between live instrumentation and electronic production, incorporating live guitar riffs and loops alongside synthesizers, drum machines, and samplers. Through a process of manipulating, deconstructing, and rebuilding loops, Plastic Death transforms fragments of sound into fully realized compositions. Drawing from a broad and eclectic range of influences, Plastic Death cites artists such as Battles, Client_03, The Dare, Friendly Fires, Giant Swan, Machine Girl, Machinedrum, My Bloody Valentine, The Prodigy, PVA, Scaler, Villager, and The Whip among its inspirations. Plastic Death is currently preparing its debut release, scheduled for early 2026. The Berlin-based label Wex Records will feature the track “Lemonade” on an upcoming vinyl compilation.
