do we need religion?

today i want to talk about religion. what a fun topic. i’ve been thinking about religion a lot recently, not on a personal level, but on a societal level. i want to start by saying i have no bias. i have my own spiritual beliefs that keep me afloat, but i’m not married to a religion. i also have to mention that this conversation is based on my corner of the internet, my corner of the world, and what i’m seeing. depending on where you live or what communities you’re a part of, you might have a very different experience. so i ask you to keep that in mind. let’s get into it.
