Kodaline are an Irish rock band. Originally known as 21 Demands, in 2011 the band changed its name to Kodaline. What does the name 'Kodaline' mean? Members Steve, Mark, Jason and Vinny where looking for a proper band name but weren't satisfied with what they came up with, stating: 'You can try and find a name that means a lot to you, but when you google it, there are already thousands of references to that name. We just wanted someting that wasn't taken. After a night with a lot of beers, we came up with the name 'Kodaline'. I don't remember who it was who came up with the name but we liked it and decided that that was going to be it.' 'So the name 'Kodaline' means nothing to us, but that's what we wanted.
