Mary Namaganda, 16 years old, a Teen Mother In Luuka District

Mary Namaganda, 16 years old, was forced to leave school due to the lockdown enforced in Uganda as an effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. During her stay at home, she got pregnant and is now forced to be a mother at a young age. Many of the girls in Luuka District are faced with similar situation due to the absence of school activities and proper supervision at home. See Them Grow Foundation, in an effort to reduce the number of teenage mothers in the district, has started a Go Fund me advocacy to raise money for a piggery project that is projected to help raise house hold incomes and also give these girls something to do in order to have a source of income and help provide for their families.
