The electric motor acts as a generator, making braking more efficient while increasing the vehicle’s range. The energy released during braking is not lost in the form of heat, but is converted into electric energy and fed into the battery. If necessary, the braking system automatically engages. Using the standard-feature paddles on the steering wheel, the driver can manually adjust the degree of recuperation at any time and, in doing so, the level of braking assistance. The front wheels feature ventilated brake discs and, as the rear brakes are subjected to minimal load due to the energy recovery system, the rear wheels are fitted with robust drum brakes, which are particularly resistant to corrosion thanks to their closed design. A wealth of gloss black design features identify this latest ENYAQ iV variant as a typical ŠKODA SPORTLINE at first glance. The surround of the striking ŠKODA grille boasts a gloss black finish, as do the c-shaped trims of the air curtains. This contrasts nicely with the dynamically designed, body-coloured front apron, which features a large central air inlet with honeycomb mesh and a spoiler lip. Large alloy wheels boasting an aerodynamically optimised design enhance the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV’s sleek appearance. The 20-inch Vega alloy wheels sport an anthracite finish, while the 21-inch Betria alloys are black. The tyres use self-sealing technology. Minor damage to the tread, such as that caused by a thin nail, a piece of broken glass or a sharp stone, automatically self-seals, so the tyre does not need to be changed immediately. The SunSet tinted rear and rear side windows further emphasise the SUV’s sporty look and also ensure that the interior remains cool in summer. The laminated glass of the acoustic side windows at the front and rear reduces the noise level in the vehicle. The ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV comes with full-LED Matrix headlights as standard. Each Matrix high‑beam module features 24 LEDs, which can be controlled individually and enable the driver to have the high beam on at all times without dazzling other road users. This intelligent technology automatically turns off individual segments of the light beam when the camera on the windscreen detects vehicles, as well as people and objects, reflecting the light. The range of standard equipment also includes a headlight cleaning system and full-LED tail lights. These feature a crystalline design and dynamic indicators. Black upholstery and decorative strips in a carbon look characterise the ENYAQ SPORTLINE iV’s interior. In the all-electric SUV, Design Selections replace the classic trim levels. They have been inspired by modern living environments and feature perfectly coordinated colours and materials. The SPORTLINE-specific Design Selection includes black sports seats with integrated headrests for optimum lateral support in any driving situation. The seats are upholstered in Suedia microfibre and leather, and feature grey piping. The textile floor mats come with grey nubuck stitching. The dashboard is upholstered in a black leather-style fabric; the roof lining is black too. The decorative strips on the dashboard and in the door trims have a carbon-effect finish. #sdadancars
