Hello Family, Welcome to my first vlog of this channel! supper excited to be sharing with you my first week as a midwife. I officially have a job as a midwife, currently on a preceptorship programme. Here's a sneak peak of how my first week went. This vlog is defiantly the first of many. enjoy Newly qualified Midwife 🤝 Preceptorship programmes: The purpose of a preceptorship programme is to provide support during the transition from student to Midwife. My preceptorship programme has included; classroom teaching, e-learnings, online teaching, independent study and attainment of role-specific competencies. The programme also provides individualised support in practice by a preceptor. The goal of a preceptorship programme is for the newly registered midwife to develop their confidence and autonomy.
