What is P-number, F-number & A-number (As per ASME Section IX)

Material Grouping is based on ASME Section iX. Many international standards follow this grouping for preparation of WPS and PQR. This is a logical grouping based on many factors to reduce the number of WPS and PQR in the industries. This grouping is done for base metals as well as for filler metals. 'P' Number, 'G' Number and 'Group' Number is assigned to base metals whereas, 'F' Number and 'A' number is assigned to filler metals.
