On a visit back to his hometown in Mandya in 2013, he came across the plight of marginal farmers in the region. The challenges they faced, and the extreme life and death situations that had plagued many. Moved by all that he saw, Madhu decided to return home and plunged into building an organic movement that today supports over 12,000 farmers and feeds hundreds and thousands of consumers. In this episode, we capture the inspiring story of this brave entrepreneur who struggled against all odds to successfully build Organic Mandya, a chain of 20 well-stocked organic stores that places the well being of its farmers above everything else and in doing so also introduces its customers to an organic lifestyle.
