In this video I'll describe how to install modern windows made with plastic nailing flanges into an old timber frame house. I'll also go over many of the "gotchas" you'll likely encounter. The post and beam style of framing as practiced in the 1700 and 1800s requires modifications to work with current day windows. Decades ago windows were installed into walls by nailing through the exterior trim boards. Modern windows are installed differently. I met some unique challenges with the project shown in the video!
