A Quase Despedida da Quadrespra

It was supposed to be a farewell party, the last session at Quadrespra in São Paulo. But shortly before June 28th, when this video was filmed, we received the news that Quadrespra will remain where and as it is until November, and there are already talks about another space that matches the current one. We won't relax and we're keeping an eye on it. If you haven't been following, Quadrespra is one of the main DIY spots in the country and was born as a temporary space in place of the old swimming pool, the former Espraiada skatepark. After 13 years, it's time to say goodbye. But the promise to transfer the space to another similar one was not fulfilled by the public authorities, who arranged a tiny little dance floor, a lack of respect. The peak's closure date was set for June 30th, but thanks to the actions of locals, regulars, and skaters from all over the country, the voice of skateboarding was heard, and it seems a space befitting the current Quadrespra will be created, which will remain as it is until November 2026.
