This is a tutorial for joining a piece of I-Cord knitting to another piece of knitting with Kitchener Stitch (grafting). The example used here is a tank top strap with a 4 stitch I-cord, but can be done with any size I-cord. Kitchener Stitch Steps: Setup Steps 1. Go through first stitch on front needle Purlwise 2. Go through first stitch on back needle Knitwise 4 Step Kitchener repeat: 1. Go through first stitch on front needle Knitwise - Slip stitch off 2. Go through next st on front needle Purlwise 3. Go through first stitch on back needle Purlwise - Slip stitch off 4. Go through next stitch on back needle Knitwise For a 4 stitch I-cord: Repeat steps 1-4 twice more. For a 3 stitch I-cord: Repeat steps 1-4 once more. 2 sts will be left. Finishing Steps: 1. Go through last stitch on front needle Knitwise - Slip stitch off 2.
